  3. I never learned to tie shoelaces properly; I can only do bunny ears.
  4. I have 3 graduate degrees & I’m a member of the Nebraska State Bar.
  5. For 30 years, I have not eaten mammals.
  6. I have studied 8 languages other than English, but I’m fluent only in English.
  7. I am a terrible singer.
  8. I can’t draw either.
  9. Most of my pets have been named after US Supreme Court Justices. My last cat, however, was named after Nikola Tesla, and current cat is named after a cartoon demon.
  10. I have 8 tattoos. One of them is a quill pen with the first three words of my first novel.
  11. My first paid job was at McDonald’s.
  12. When I was in college and working at a deli, I was robbed at gunpoint.
  13. Until my second kid was born, I owned a ’55 Ford pickup.
  14. I love to shop at office supply stores.
  15. I am a night person.
  16. I met my husband when I was 15.
  17. I have broken only one bone in my life: my little toe. I was 9 and at summer camp.
  18. Although I’m a terrible procrastinator, I’m good at meeting deadlines.
